The 2022 NSX Type S

Every 2022 NSX was a Type S. Turbochargers shared with the NSX GT3 Evo, new injectors and intercoolers raised engine output by 20 hp, and a larger-capacity battery helped push system output to 600 hp and 492 lb-ft. The dual-clutch gearbox was retuned for faster shifts.

Acura limited production to 350 cars worldwide, 300 of them for the U.S. Pricing was $169,500, or $182,500 with the Lightweight Package of carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon trim, which cut 57.8 lbs.

First-generation NSX milestones

The 3.2L six-speed arrived for 1997, the 51-car Alex Zanardi Edition followed in 1999, and the 2002 facelift brought fixed HID headlights and a standard removable roof. Japan-only variants such as the NSX-R were never sold in the U.S.

In November 2026 Acura began selling more than 3,000 reproduction parts for the 1991–2005 NSX through its dealers as part of the Honda Heritage Parts program.[5][2][11]
