ZDX Type S hardware
The ZDX Type S was the most powerful Acura SUV ever, with 499 hp and 544 lb-ft from two motors. It added a height-adjustable air suspension, adaptive dampers, 15.6-inch Brembo front brakes with six-piston calipers and 22-inch wheels on 275/40ZR22 tires, the largest wheels ever fitted to an Acura.
A $1,000 option added gloss-black wheels with high-performance summer tires.
Charging and range
The ZDX charges at up to 190 kW on a DC fast charger; Acura quotes 81 miles of range in about 10 minutes for the A-Spec RWD and 42 minutes from 20% to 80%. Level 2 charging adds about 29.4 miles per hour.
The car has a CCS port. Since mid-2025 ZDX owners can use selected Tesla Superchargers with Acura's approved NACS-to-CCS adapter.[1][2][8]
