Chevrolet Corvette trim levels explained
By CarWhere Research · Updated
The mid-engine C8 Corvette is sold as separate models (Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, ZR1 and ZR1X), each with equipment tiers: 1LT/2LT/3LT on the Stingray and 1LZ/2LZ/3LZ on the others. For 2026 a Stingray 1LT coupe started at $70,000 before destination. For 2027 the Stingray gets a 535-hp 6.7L V8 and the Grand Sport X replaces the E-Ray.
Current Corvette trim levels: C8 (2020–present)
The first mid-engine Corvette. The Stingray launched for 2020, the Z06 and the hybrid all-wheel-drive E-Ray followed, and the twin-turbo ZR1 and 1,250-hp hybrid ZR1X sit at the top. For 2027 the Stingray switches from the 6.2L LT2 to a 6.7L LS6 V8, the Grand Sport returns, and the Grand Sport X replaces the E-Ray. Prices are 2026 coupe MSRPs before destination unless noted.[1][2][3][4]

Frequently asked questions
What do 1LT, 2LT and 3LT mean on a Corvette?
They are equipment tiers, not separate models. On the Stingray, 2LT adds features such as ventilated seats, a head-up display and 14-speaker Bose audio, and 3LT adds GT2 seats and more leather interior trim. The Z06, E-Ray and ZR1 use the equivalent 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ.
What is the Corvette Z51 package?
Z51 is a Stingray option (a GM RPO code) that adds a performance exhaust, upgraded brakes and suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, extra cooling and aero pieces. The exhaust raises the C8 Stingray from 490 to 495 hp.
How much does a Corvette cost?
For 2026, a Stingray 1LT coupe started at $70,000 before destination, a Z06 1LZ at $117,700 and a ZR1 1LZ at $180,400. The ZR1X was announced at $207,395.
What happened to the Corvette E-Ray?
For 2027 the Grand Sport X replaces the E-Ray. It keeps a hybrid all-wheel-drive layout and makes a combined 721 hp.
What changed for the 2027 Corvette Stingray?
The 2027 Stingray replaces the 6.2L LT2 with a 6.7L LS6 V8 rated at 535 hp and 520 lb-ft, and the Grand Sport returns with the same engine.
