Nissan's 400-hp rating requires premium fuel. EPA does not list the TITAN XD, so it has no EPA fuel economy rating.

TITAN's final model year

Nissan's US site says the TITAN and TITAN XD are no longer in production, with 2024 marking their final year. The last lineup was cut to SV, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve for both trucks, after the S grade and SV King Cab 4x2 were dropped. Every 2024 TITAN was built in Canton, Mississippi.

EPA's listings for the TITAN end with the 2024 model year.[11][2][1][9]

TITAN vs TITAN XD

The TITAN XD rides on its own fully boxed ladder frame with a 151.6-inch wheelbase, 11.8 inches longer than the TITAN's, and it is three inches taller. An integrated gooseneck hitch was available. In 2024 the XD came only as a Crew Cab 4x4 and was rated to tow up to 11,050 lb versus 9,290 lb for the TITAN.

Starting with the 2016 model, the XD also offered a Cummins 5.0L V8 turbo diesel rated at 310 hp and 555 lb-ft.[2][6][1]

TITAN PRO-4X

PRO-4X was the TITAN's off-road grade, offered as a Crew Cab 4x4 on both TITAN and TITAN XD in 2024, at $53,580 and $57,890. EPA rates the 2024 TITAN PRO-4X at 14 city / 20 highway / 16 combined mpg, 1 mpg combined below other 4x4 TITANs.[1][5][4]

Nissan TITAN problems and recalls

The most significant documented Titan problems are parking pawl recalls on 2020–2023 trucks that could let them roll away in Park, wiring harness recalls with fire risk on 2017–2020 V8s, and a driver air bag inflator that could rupture on 2013–2015 trucks. First-generation Titans also have brake pedal, fuel gauge and engine relay recalls.
