Acura Integra problems and known issues

By CarWhere Research · Updated

The 2023-on Acura Integra has a short recall list. The most widespread is steering gearbox recall 24V744, which covers 2023–2025 Integra and 2024–2025 Integra Type S models, plus a small VSA modulator brake-fluid recall (23V430) and two seat-frame recalls. Each fix is free at Acura dealers, so check the VIN before you buy.

CarWhere lists 3 documented Integra issues, including 3 NHTSA safety recalls, each with affected years, powertrains, symptoms, pre-purchase checks and a source. Recall entries come from NHTSA's recall dataset on the DOT open-data portal, which may not list every campaign, so run the specific VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup.

Safety recall
Generation:
5th gen (2023–present)
Years:

A ball valve in the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) modulator may leak brake fluid on a small number of 2023 Integra, RDX and Civic models and 2022 Accords (386 in total). That can cause unintended movement with brake hold on, or a longer brake pedal stroke. Dealers replace the VSA modulator for free.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main recall on the new Acura Integra?

Recall 24V744. The steering gearbox can have too much internal friction, making steering feel heavy. It covers 2023–2025 Integra and 2024–2025 Integra Type S models; dealers replace a worm gear spring and regrease the gear for free.

Does the Integra Type S have its own recalls?

The Type S shares the steering gearbox recall (24V744, 2024–2025) and the 2024 seat frame recall (24V859) with the standard Integra. No Type S-only campaign appears in the recall data used here.

Which generation is the current Integra?

Acura calls the 2023 model the fifth-generation Integra and the first factory-turbocharged one. The 2002–2006 RSX is counted as the fourth generation, and the 1986–2001 Integras came before it.

Are older 1986–2001 Integras covered here?

No recall campaign in the DOT recall dataset names a 1994–2001 Integra model directly, so this page focuses on 2023-on cars. Run any older Integra VIN through NHTSA’s lookup anyway.

How do I check an Integra for open recalls?

Enter the 17-digit VIN at NHTSA’s recall lookup and at recalls.acura.com. Recall work is free at any Acura dealer.
