Buick Encore GX trim levels explained

The 2026 Buick Encore GX comes in Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir trims. Buick.com lists starting prices of $26,895, $27,700 and $31,700, before Buick's $1,795 destination charge. Every trim page lists a 155-hp 1.3L turbo three-cylinder, with a CVT for FWD or a 9-speed automatic with AWD.
Current Encore GX trim levels: Encore GX (2026 model year)
Since the 2024 refresh, the Encore GX has used Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir trims with an 11-inch touchscreen and 8-inch driver display under one sheet of glass. GM's July 2026 newsroom listed the Preferred at $28,390 and Sport Touring at $29,195 including destination, slightly below buick.com's current figures plus destination. For 2027, Buick's destination page lists Encore GX Limited, ST and Avenir; buick.com shows the 2027 Limited from $26,900.[1][2][3][4]

The 2024 refresh added the first Encore GX Avenir and a reworked Sport Touring, with a 137-hp 1.2L turbo standard and a 155-hp 1.3L turbo available. Launch prices below include destination.[8][9]

Before the 2024 refresh, Buick sold the Encore GX in Preferred, Select and Essence trims with an 8-inch touchscreen, a 137-hp 1.2L turbo and an available 155-hp 1.3L turbo. A Sport Touring Edition and Black Roof Package were available. We could not retrieve Buick-published prices.[10]
