How to Find Ram, Jeep & Dodge Options by VIN

A Ram, Jeep or Dodge VIN doesn't encode its options, but the Stellantis production record is tied to it. Six ways to see it: the original window sticker (often free by VIN), a dealer printout, the owner app (owners only), the broadcast sheet or fender tag on classic cars, a free VIN decoder, or an instant $9.99 VIN build sheet.

Step by step

1. Get the full 17-character VIN

Read it through the lower driver-side corner of the windshield, from the driver door-jamb label, or from the title or registration. US-built Ram and Jeep Gladiator trucks start 1C6, Mexico-built Ram heavy-duty trucks 3C6, US-built Jeeps and the Durango 1C4, and Canada-built Chargers and Challengers 2C3.

2. Try the window sticker by VIN first

Stellantis’s window-sticker system returns the original Monroney label for many VINs — the most readable document, with options and packages in plain English and their prices. Run the free lookup for Ram, Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler.

3. Ask a dealer, or check the owner app

A Stellantis dealer’s service or parts desk can look up a VIN’s factory equipment; policies on printing it for non-owners vary. If you own the vehicle, adding it to the brand’s owner app or website shows its details.

4. Classic car? Look for the broadcast sheet and fender tag

On classic Chrysler-family cars, the broadcast sheet (sometimes found under the seats or carpet) and the stamped fender tag list the car’s options in sales codes. Read them alongside the shorter, pre-1981 VIN.

5. Run a VIN build sheet when you need it now

Enter the VIN on the build sheet page. CarWhere checks free whether detailed build data exists; if it does, the build sheet is $9.99 and lists the trim, colors and installed options and packages when the build data includes them. Then confirm the big-ticket items on the vehicle itself.

Reading what you find

The window sticker names options and packages in plain English. Dealer printouts, build sheets and classic broadcast sheets often add Stellantis's three-character sales codes — see Mopar sales codes explained. For which options matter on a specific model, see the build sheet pages for the Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Durango and Challenger.

Whatever route you use, check the expensive items on the vehicle itself: badges, wheels, flares and hitches can be added after the fact. The record tells you what the factory fitted; the inspection tells you it is still there.

Need the options list today?

Enter the VIN on the Ram build sheet page — it works the same for Jeep and Dodge. The availability check is free; you pay $9.99 only if detailed build data exists for that vehicle.

FAQ

Can I find Ram, Jeep or Dodge options from the VIN alone?

Not from the 17 characters themselves — they encode the make, model, body, engine, year and plant, not packages. The options sit in the Stellantis production record for that VIN, which the window sticker, a dealer lookup or a build sheet can show.

Can I get a Jeep or Ram window sticker by VIN?

Often, yes. Stellantis’s window-sticker system returns the original Monroney label for many Ram, Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler VINs, and CarWhere’s free window sticker lookup checks it. When no sticker comes back, a build sheet reconstructs the installed options from licensed VIN-level build data when it exists.

What is a Mopar broadcast sheet?

The paper assembly document that traveled with a classic Chrysler-family car down the line, listing its options in sales codes. Collectors sometimes find originals under seats or carpet. It is a physical artifact, not a lookup — modern VINs use the production record instead.

Will a dealer print the options for a VIN?

Stellantis dealers’ systems identify a vehicle by VIN and can show its factory equipment. Whether a dealer prints it for someone who doesn’t own the vehicle — and whether it charges — is up to that dealer.

What does the CarWhere Ram, Jeep or Dodge build sheet include?

The trim, colors and installed factory options and packages when the underlying build data includes them, with original MSRP figures when available. It costs $9.99, only after a free availability check. It is not an official Stellantis document.
