Finding the VIN in Florida

  • Florida registration — the VIN is printed on the registration card or certificate issued with the plate (FL plates are tied to the VIN in the state's records).
  • Florida title — the VIN is the title's primary vehicle identifier.
  • On the vehicle — dashboard plate (driver's side, through the windshield) and the driver's door jamb label.

Why did my Florida plate lookup fail?

Where is the VIN on a Florida vehicle?
