The Hellcat engine is a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 that debuted in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat at 707 hp, the same rating used in the Charger SRT Hellcat and later the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Dodge raised the Challenger Hellcat to 717 hp and 656 lb-ft for 2019 and added the Hellcat Redeye at 797 hp and 707 lb-ft, using parts from the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon, which made 808 hp on pump gas and 840 hp on race fuel.
Later variants include the 710-hp Durango SRT Hellcat, the 702-hp Ram 1500 TRX (2021–2024), the 807-hp Challenger Super Stock and the 2023 Challenger SRT Demon 170, rated 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft on E85 and 900 hp on E10.
