Dodge tools & data

By CarWhere Research · Updated

CarWhere’s Dodge hub collects free research for Durango, Charger and Challenger shoppers and owners: 44 trim levels with dated base MSRPs, 17 known issues and recalls, guides to the Hellcat, 392 and 5.7 Hemi, Pentastar and Hurricane engines, plus VIN tools. Every page lists its sources.

Dodge’s lineup spans a three-row SUV and some of the most powerful production V8s ever sold, often under similar-sounding names. These pages separate the trims and engines by year and list the documented problems and recalls for each model.

Know exactly how your Dodge was built at the factory.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out what options my Dodge has?

The original window sticker lists the trim, engine, packages and options a Dodge was built with. If it is lost, a build sheet reconstructed from the VIN shows factory colors, options and packages where detailed build data exists, and the free VIN decoder shows basics such as engine, body and plant.

What is the difference between the 5.7, 6.4 and Hellcat engines?

All three are Hemi V8s: the 5.7L powers R/T models, the naturally aspirated 6.4L (392) powers Scat Pack and SRT 392 models, and the supercharged 6.2L powers Hellcat, Redeye and Demon models. The engine guides list Dodge-rated output by year.

Are the Charger and Challenger still made?

The Hemi V8 Challenger and Charger ended after the 2023 model year. Dodge then launched a new-generation Charger, first as the electric Charger Daytona and then as the gasoline Charger Sixpack with the 3.0L Hurricane inline-six.

How do I check a Dodge for recalls?

Enter the 17-character VIN on NHTSA’s recall lookup or Dodge’s owner site, or ask a dealer to run it. Recall repairs are free. CarWhere’s known-issues pages list major recall campaign numbers by model and generation.
