Lincoln Corsair: the hybrid-only 2027 model, Grand Touring PHEV and gas models
By CarWhere Research · Updated
The Lincoln Corsair is Lincoln's compact luxury SUV. For 2027 it is hybrid-only: every Corsair uses a 305-hp 2.0L turbo hybrid with standard all-wheel drive, sold in Premiere and Reserve trims, with deliveries expected in early 2027. Corsairs from 2020–2026 used 2.0L or 2.3L turbo fours, and the Grand Touring was a plug-in hybrid.

2027 Corsair: why it is hybrid-only now
Every 2027 Corsair uses a new 2.0L turbocharged high-output hybrid with all-wheel drive and 305 hp. Lincoln calls this the most standard hybrid horsepower in the class. BlueCruise 1.5 hands-free highway driving with automatic lane change is standard, and so are four years of the Lincoln Security Package and the Lincoln Connectivity Package.
There are two trims. Premiere is the entry model. Reserve adds Black Satin Ash wood, leather-trimmed seats and the available 24-way Perfect Position front seats with heating, ventilation and Active Motion massage, plus available 20-inch black wheels with the Jet Appearance Package. No gas-only or plug-in version is listed for 2027.
Corsair Grand Touring: the plug-in hybrid
The Grand Touring combined a 2.5L four-cylinder with electric motors for 266 combined hp. A rear motor drives the rear wheels, which gives it all-wheel drive. EPA rated the 2021–2022 models at 28 miles of electric range and 78 MPGe, and the 2026 model at 27 miles and 76 MPGe, with 33 mpg combined on gas alone.
It had two plug-in drive modes, Preserve EV and Pure EV. A 240 V charge takes about 3.2 to 3.5 hours, according to EPA. Grand Touring models are now available only used, since the 2027 lineup is hybrid-only.[4][8][7][11]
What the 2023 refresh changed
For 2023 the Corsair got a larger grille and wing-shaped daytime running lamps, a 13.2-inch center touchscreen with SYNC 4 and a standard 12.3-inch digital cluster. ActiveGlide 1.2 hands-free driving became available at speeds up to 80 mph, and Lincoln added Blind Spot Assist and Auto Air Refresh.
After the refresh, the engine choices were the 250-hp 2.0L turbo and the 266-hp Grand Touring plug-in hybrid, and EPA lists no 2.3L Corsair after 2022.[4][10]
Buying a used Corsair
Gas Corsairs use the 2.0L turbo (FWD or AWD), or for 2020–2022 the 2.3L turbo with AWD. Both have an eight-speed automatic. EPA rates the 2.0L FWD at 22/30/25 mpg. For a Grand Touring plug-in hybrid, check the VIN against NHTSA: recalls 25V789 (2021–2024) and 26V091 (2023–2026) cover high-voltage battery cells.[5][10][15][16][17]

Lincoln Corsair problems and recalls
Most Corsair recalls involve rear camera faults and failing wiper motors on 2020–2022 models. The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid has the most serious campaigns: an engine failure fire risk on 2021–2023 models and high-voltage battery cell defects on 2021–2026 models, whose software remedy limits charging until it is installed.
