Lincoln Corsair problems and known issues

By CarWhere Research · Updated

Most Corsair recalls involve rear camera faults and failing wiper motors on 2020–2022 models. The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid has the most serious campaigns: an engine failure fire risk on 2021–2023 models and high-voltage battery cell defects on 2021–2026 models, whose software remedy limits charging until it is installed.

CarWhere lists 12 documented Corsair issues, including 12 NHTSA safety recalls, each with affected years, powertrains, symptoms, pre-purchase checks and a source. Recall entries come from NHTSA's recall dataset on the DOT open-data portal, which may not list every campaign, so run the specific VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup.

Frequently asked questions

What are the most common Lincoln Corsair problems?

The largest documented Corsair issues are recalls for rear camera faults on 2020–2022 models (26V-123, 23V-342, 25V-510), the wiper motor recall (26V-117) and, on the Grand Touring, engine-fire and high-voltage battery recalls.

Is the Corsair Grand Touring reliable?

The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid has more recalls than the gas models: an engine failure fire risk on 2021–2023 models (23V-380), battery cell defects on 2021–2026 models (25V-789, 26V-091) and a 2021–2022 software recall for unexpected neutral shifts (24V-330).

Is there a Corsair battery recall?

Yes, for plug-in hybrids. Recalls 24V-954, 25V-789 and 26V-091 cover battery cells that can short internally. Until the software remedy is done, owners are told to use Auto EV mode and limit the battery's maximum charge.

Which Corsair years have the most recalls?

The 2020–2022 model years appear in the most campaigns, mainly camera, wiper motor and Grand Touring powertrain recalls. 2025 models have an EGR valve recall (26V-122), and 2027 Corsair Hybrids are in an unexpected-neutral recall (26V-688).

How do I check a used Corsair for open recalls?

Enter the 17-character VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup or ask a Lincoln dealer, and ask for repair orders. For a Grand Touring, confirm the battery software remedy is complete.
