C192 AMG GT (2024–present) specs

Chassis code: C192 coupe

What changed in the C192

The second-generation AMG GT coupe, unveiled at Pebble Beach in August 2023, swapped the transaxle two-seater layout for the R232 SL's aluminum architecture, adding 2+2 seating, standard 4MATIC+ on V8 models and a 9-speed MCT. US sales began for 2024 with the GT 55 and GT 63. For 2025 the lineup grew to include the rear-drive, four-cylinder GT 43, the GT 63 Pro and the 805-hp GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE plug-in hybrid.

X290 AMG GT (2019–present) specs

Chassis code: X290 4-door coupe · facelift from the 2024 model year

What changed in the X290

The GT 4-Door Coupe is a five-door liftback built on Mercedes' MRA platform rather than the two-door GT's transaxle chassis, sharing its name and styling cues but little hardware. V8 GT 63 and GT 63 S versions with 4MATIC+ and a 9-speed MCT reached US dealers for 2019, followed by the inline-six mild-hybrid GT 53. A refresh around 2024 updated styling and equipment, and for 2025 the US gained the plug-in-hybrid GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE and a GT 43 entry version. Mercedes markets it as a 4-Door Coupe.

C190 AMG GT (2016–2021) specs

Chassis codes: C190 coupe · R190 roadster · facelift from the 2020 model year

What changed in the C190

The first AMG GT was the second car AMG engineered entirely in-house after the SLS, a two-seat front-mid-engine sports car with a rear transaxle and the dry-sump M178 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mounted low behind the front axle. The US launch in spring 2015 (model year 2016) was GT S-only; the base GT followed for 2017, then the GT C, GT R and R190 Roadsters for 2018. The 2020 update brought revised lighting, interior tech and, for 2021, 523 hp in the base car. The track-bred GT R Pro and the 720-hp flat-plane-crank Black Series closed the run.

0–60 mph figures are Mercedes-Benz-claimed unless marked † (instrumented magazine test). "—" means we could not confirm the figure from a source. MSRP is US base price at launch, excluding destination. Many Mercedes models are electronically limited (often 130 or 155 mph, higher with AMG Driver's Package); see trim notes.
