Why does my Jayco motorhome decode as a Ford or Chevrolet?
Jayco Class A and C motorhomes are built on a Ford E-450/F-53 or a Chevrolet cutaway chassis, so the VIN decodes as that chassis — including the engine, transmission, and drivetrain recalls. The Jayco coach is a later stage on the same VIN.
Where is the VIN on a Jayco Jay Flight?
On the federal certification label on the front-left (roadside) exterior and stamped on the A-frame/tongue near the hitch. The same 17-character VIN appears on the title and registration.
