Chrysler 300 problems and known issues

By CarWhere Research · Updated

The most serious Chrysler 300 recalls are air bag inflator campaigns: 2005–2010 driver inflators (15V-313) and 2005–2015 passenger inflators (16V-352, 18V-021, 19V-018), several with do-not-drive warnings. Later cars have recalls for 2018–2021 curtain air bags, 2011–2014 alternators and the 2012–2014 monostable shifter.

CarWhere lists 11 documented 300 issues, including 11 NHTSA safety recalls, each with affected years, powertrains, symptoms, pre-purchase checks and a source. Recall entries come from NHTSA's recall dataset on the DOT open-data portal, which may not list every campaign, so run the specific VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup.
