Engine guides (shared with Dodge, Jeep and Ram): 3.6 Pentastar V6
2008–2016 Town & Country in detail
The 2008 redesign offered three V6s: a 175-hp 3.3L flex-fuel engine with a 4-speed automatic, and a 197-hp 3.8L or new 4.0L V6 with a 6-speed. Seating systems were Stow 'n Go, with second- and third-row seats that fold into the floor, or Swivel 'n Go, whose second-row seats turn 180 degrees to face a removable table.
For 2011, the 3.6L Pentastar V6 replaced all three engines, with 283 hp and 260 lb-ft, a 6-speed automatic and an EPA rating of 17/25/20 mpg. That combination carried through 2016.
Which used Town & Country to look for
A 2011–2016 model gives you the most power and the 6-speed on every trim. The 2016 lineup ran from LX to Limited Platinum; SafetyTec features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection were standard on Touring-L and above.
For 2008–2010 models, check the recall record carefully: that range is covered by ignition switch (14V-373), air bag control unit (16V-047) and steering wheel emblem (20V-396) campaigns. 2010–2014 models are covered by the driver-door vent window switch recall (14V-234).[2][16]
