Oil changes

Normal: Replace oil and filter every 8,000 miles or 12 months (whichever first). Oil Life Management System (if equipped) may call for an earlier change based on driving.

Severe or special conditions: Follow the severe-usage schedule for short trips (<5 mi, <10 mi in freezing temps), extended idling, dusty/rough/salted roads, heavy traffic/stop-and-go, mountain driving, towing/roof loads, commercial use, frequent high speed, non-recommended oil — and for all vehicles after 10 years or 100,000 miles. (Severe-schedule mileages not collected.)
