Ford F-150 trim levels
Ford’s 2026 F-150 order guide lists eight series: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Tremor and Raptor, with Raptor R as the Raptor’s top equipment group. The step most buyers weigh is XLT 302A, which adds adaptive cruise, a 360-degree camera, remote start, heated seats and push-button start over lower XLT groups.
Ford Super Duty trim levels
Ford’s 2025 Super Duty order guide lists five series for the F-250, F-350 and F-450: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. The Limited was dropped after 2024, and Tremor is an off-road package. The key step is King Ranch, where the 7.3L gas V8 replaces the 6.8L as the standard engine.
Ford Bronco trim levels
Ford’s 2026 Bronco order guide lists seven series: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, Stroppe Edition, Heritage Edition and Raptor. Black Diamond and Wildtrak are now packages rather than series. The step that matters is Badlands, the off-road-focused series offered as a 2-door or 4-door, while only Raptor gets the 3.0L EcoBoost V6.
Ford Explorer trim levels
The refreshed Explorer has five trims: Active, ST-Line, Tremor (added for 2026), Platinum and ST. Active, ST-Line and Platinum use the 2.3L EcoBoost four; ST gets the 400-hp 3.0L V6, also optional on Tremor and Platinum. The step that matters most is Active to ST-Line, which adds the 360-degree camera and Bang & Olufsen audio.
Ford Ranger trim levels
The current Ranger, redesigned for 2024, has four trims: XL, XLT, Lariat and Raptor. XL, XLT and Lariat use the 2.3L EcoBoost four, with a 315-hp 2.7L V6 available on XLT and Lariat; Raptor gets a 405-hp 3.0L V6 and standard 4x4. The big step is XLT to Lariat, which adds the 12-inch screen and driver aids.
Ford Maverick trim levels
Ford’s 2026 Maverick order guide lists five series: XL, XLT, Lobo, Lariat and Tremor, all SuperCrew compact pickups. The choice that matters most is powertrain: the 2.5L hybrid is standard on XL, XLT and Lariat, while Lobo and Tremor use the 2.0L EcoBoost with Advanced 4WD.
Ford Mustang trim levels
The S650 Mustang has five main trims: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium and Dark Horse, with the GTD as a separate limited-production car. EcoBoost models use a 315-hp 2.3L turbo four, GT a 480-hp 5.0L V8 and Dark Horse a 500-hp V8. The step that matters is EcoBoost to GT: the V8.
Ford Expedition trim levels
The redesigned 2025 Expedition comes in XL, Active, Platinum, Tremor and King Ranch, with long-wheelbase MAX versions of Active, Platinum and King Ranch. Every trim uses the 3.5L EcoBoost V6; Tremor gets the 440-hp high-output version, which is optional on Platinum. Active to Platinum is the luxury step that matters most.
Ford Bronco Sport trim levels
Ford’s 2026 Bronco Sport order guide lists four series: Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks and Badlands, after the Free Wheeling series was deleted for 2026. The step that matters is Badlands, the only series with the 2.0L EcoBoost and Advanced 4x4; the other three use the 1.5L EcoBoost three-cylinder.

How can I tell what trim my Ford is?
The trim badge can be swapped, so the reliable record is the original window sticker or a build sheet decoded from the VIN, which shows the trim, equipment group and factory options.
