Infiniti trim levels explained

By CarWhere Research · Updated

Since the 2014 model year INFINITI names its cars with a Q and its SUVs with QX, followed by a number that rises with size and price (Q50, Q60; QX50, QX55, QX60, QX80). Older models such as the G35 and G37 used letter-and-displacement names. Within each model INFINITI sells grade-based trims such as PURE, LUXE, SPORT, SENSORY and AUTOGRAPH. CarWhere lays out 76 trims across 8 Infiniti models — Q50, QX60, QX80, Q60, G37, QX50, G35 and QX55 — with dated base MSRPs, engines and key equipment.

How can I tell what trim my Infiniti is?

Badges can be swapped or deleted, so the reliable record is the original paperwork or the build record tied to the VIN, which shows the trim, engine and packages the car was built with. On current INFINITI models the number in the name marks the model line, not engine displacement, so the trim and packages are only confirmed by the build record.
