The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) can be damaged and stop charging the 12-volt battery, which can lead to a loss of drive power. Dealers inspect and replace the ICCU and its fuse as needed and update the ICCU software, free of charge. This campaign expands and replaces 24V200, so cars fixed under the earlier recall need the new remedy.
Symptoms
- 12-volt battery warning
- Warning messages followed by reduced power
- Car will not charge or start
Check before buying
- Run the 17-digit VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup (nhtsa.gov/recalls) and confirm the campaign shows as remedied
- If the car was repaired under 24V200, confirm the 24V867 remedy is recorded too
