Lexus RX engines, horsepower and mpg

Mpg is the 2026 EPA rating, since Lexus hadn't published 2027 figures. The RX 450h+ row uses EPA's 2025 gas-only rating; for 2027 Lexus cites an EPA-estimated 85 MPGe combined and 38 miles of electric range. Lexus's RX releases don't give an RX 450h+ horsepower figure.

The RX and Lexus hybrids

The RX started Lexus's hybrid lineup. The 2006 RX 400h was the world's first luxury hybrid vehicle, followed by the 295-hp RX 450h for 2010 and a 308-hp RX 450h in the fourth generation. Today three of the four RX powertrains are electrified: the RX 350h, RX 450h+ and RX 500h.[6][9][7][1]
