Launch: Dream Edition2022 model year (deliveries from October 2021)The limited-availability Dream Edition came in Range (520 mi EPA) and Performance (471 mi on 19-inch wheels) versions, built at AMP-1 in Arizona.[11][8]
Full lineup: Grand Touring, Touring, Pure2022–2023 model yearsThe Grand Touring (516 mi) arrived first, followed by the Touring and an all-wheel-drive Pure for 2023. Lucid announced the three-motor Sapphire in August 2022.[16][4][17]
Pure RWD and Sapphire2024–2027 model yearsThe Pure switched to a single-motor rear-wheel-drive layout, and the Sapphire (427 mi, 1,234 hp) joined the line. For 2026 the Touring rose to 431 mi, and Supercharger access via an adapter arrived in July 2025.[3][7][2]

Air Grand Touring: range and specs

The Grand Touring is the long-range Air. fueleconomy.gov rated it at 516 miles on 19-inch wheels for 2022–2024 and 512 miles for 2025–2027, when it also lists 480 miles on 20-inch and 446 miles on 21-inch wheels. The 2027 19-inch car is rated at 128 MPGe combined, or 26 kWh per 100 miles.

Lucid lists the 2027 Grand Touring at $114,900, with 819 hp from two motors and 0–60 mph in 3.0 seconds. Lucid says it can add 200 miles in about 12 minutes on a fast enough DC charger, the quickest of any Air. Massaging, ventilated 20-way front seats became standard for 2026.[8][3][12][1][5][2]

Air Sapphire: 0–60 in 1.89 seconds

Lucid quotes 0–60 mph in 1.89 seconds for the Air Sapphire, along with 0–100 mph in 3.84 seconds, a quarter mile in 8.95 seconds at 158 mph and a 205-mph top speed. Three in-house motors, including a twin rear drive unit with torque vectoring, make 1,234 hp and 1,430 lb-ft.

Production began in September 2023 at $249,000 fully equipped, which is still the 2027 price. fueleconomy.gov rates the Sapphire at 427 miles and 105 MPGe combined for 2024–2027. Carbon-ceramic brakes and four drive modes, including a Track mode, are standard.[10][1][3][12]

Which Air trim to pick

The Pure ($70,900, 430 hp) is the efficiency pick: it is rated at 420 miles and 146 MPGe on 19-inch wheels for 2025–2027. The Touring ($79,900, 620 hp, all-wheel drive) is rated at 431 miles for 2026–2027. The Grand Touring adds about 80 miles of range and faster charging for $35,000 more, and the Sapphire is a separate high-performance car.

Wheels matter: 20-inch wheels drop the 2027 Pure from 420 to 372 miles and the Touring from 431 to 396.[1][9][12]

Charging and Supercharger access

The Air uses a J1772/CCS1 port, so it plugs straight into CCS fast chargers such as Electrify America. Since July 31, 2025, all model years can also use V3-and-newer Tesla Superchargers with Lucid's $220 NACS-to-CCS1 adapter, but only at up to 50 kW, which Lucid says adds up to 200 miles per hour of charging.

On a CCS charger rated high enough, Lucid says the Air accepts up to 300 kW. For home charging, a 40-amp mobile cable kit with a NEMA 14-50 adapter (9.6 kW, up to 40 miles of range per hour) has been standard since the 2026 model year.[2][14][15]

Check that recall work and software updates are complete. The largest Air recalls cover the exterior lighting circuit (27,185 vehicles, with owners told to park outside until it was updated) and rearview camera software (22,319). Early 2022–2023 cars also had a drive-power contactor recall and a windshield-defrost heater recall. 2024–2026 Pure RWD cars have half-shaft bolt recalls.

The battery warranty runs 8 years or 100,000 miles from the original in-service date, with a 70% capacity floor. A 2022 car will have the earliest end date.[18][19][20][21][22][13]
