They include 2007–2009 power steering loss, corroding hatch struts on 2010–2013 models, 2016–2018 wiper failures, 2014–2018 camera faults, false emergency braking on 2019–2020 cars and the 2024–2025 air bag sensor recall. Mazda also extended dashboard coverage for sticky 2010 dashboards.

CarWhere lists 13 documented Mazda3 issues, including 12 NHTSA safety recalls, each with affected years, powertrains, symptoms, pre-purchase checks and a source.
