Mazda CX-5 trim levels explained

By CarWhere Research · Updated

The 2027 Mazda CX-5 comes in five trims: 2.5 S ($29,990), 2.5 S Select ($32,140), 2.5 S Preferred ($34,550), 2.5 S Premium ($37,450) and 2.5 S Premium Plus ($39,440), before a $1,595 destination charge. All share a 187-hp 2.5L, six-speed automatic and standard AWD, so the trims differ in equipment only.

Current CX-5 trim levels: CX-5 third generation (2027 model year)

Every 2027 CX-5 uses the same 2.5L engine and AWD. Google built-in with Gemini is standard, and the Premium Plus swaps the 12.9-inch screen for 15.6 inches. Mazda says more powertrains will be announced in 2027. Prices rose on all but the base 2.5 S versus 2026.[1][2]
