Cybertruck 0–60: what is published
Tesla publishes Cybertruck acceleration claims on tesla.com, which we could not open when this page was built, and its SEC filings give no 0–60 figure. So we don't list one. The 10-K describes Cybertruck only as a full-size pickup with "the speed of a sports car."
The official motor data comes from EPA. fueleconomy.gov lists the 2025 Cybertruck AWD with two motors (224 and 239 kW) and the Long Range rear-drive model with a single 240 kW motor. For 2026 it lists the AWD and Dual Motor AWD with 223 and 226 kW motors.[5][1][2]
EPA range and efficiency
The single-motor Long Range has the longest EPA rating at 335 miles. The dual-motor AWD is rated at 325 miles. Efficiency is far below Tesla's cars. The 2025 AWD is rated at 79 MPGe combined (42.9 kWh/100 mi), and the Long Range on 20-inch Cyber wheels at 78 MPGe. A 2026 Model S, by comparison, is rated at 124 MPGe.
The city-highway gap is wide. For the 2025 AWD, EPA lists 85 MPGe city and 72 MPGe highway, so expect noticeably less range at sustained highway speeds than in mixed driving.[1][2][7]
Cybertruck towing capacity
Tesla gives Cybertruck tow ratings on tesla.com and in the owner's manual. We could not open those pages, and Tesla's SEC filings do not state a towing figure, so we don't list one. Ratings for a truck usually vary by configuration. Check the owner's manual and the hitch label for the exact truck you are buying.[5]
Recalls to check on a 2024 Cybertruck
First-year 2024 trucks have the most campaigns, and several needed a service visit, not a software update. These include the accelerator pedal pad (24V276000, 3,878 trucks), the cant rail exterior trim panel (25V170000, 46,096 trucks), the bed trim applique, the wiper motor and the drive inverter (24V832000).
On any used Cybertruck, confirm each of these was completed. Trucks with 18-inch steel wheels should also have the 2026 wheel-stud campaign (26V255000) done.[8][9][10][11][12][13]
Cybertruck warranty
Tesla's Cybertruck warranty (effective June 5, 2025) covers the battery and drive unit for 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, with at least 70% capacity retention. The basic vehicle warranty runs 4 years or 50,000 miles, and seat belts and airbags are covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. A Cybertruck delivered before that date keeps the warranty in force at its delivery.[3]
Tesla Cybertruck recalls and known issues
Unit counts are NHTSA's 'potentially affected' totals for the whole campaign, which often spans several Tesla models. Check any specific VIN for open recalls before buying.
