Ford Super Duty Build Sheet by VIN
Same lookup as the Ford build sheet by VIN — same free availability check, same $9.99 report, for every Ford model. Also: Ford window sticker by VIN · Ford VIN decoder · Ford Super Duty trim levels · Ford Super Duty known issues.
A Super Duty build sheet shows how one F-250, F-350 or F-450 VIN was factory-built: trim, engine (6.8L or 7.3L gas, 6.7L Power Stroke or the High-Output 6.7L), axle, and packages such as Tremor, FX4 or fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep. CarWhere checks the VIN free and charges $9.99 only when detailed build data exists.

What a Ford Super Duty build sheet shows
For a Super Duty, the build sheet answers the questions that decide what a truck can tow: which of the gas or diesel engines it has (including whether a 6.7L is the High-Output version), the rear axle and whether it locks, single or dual rear wheels, and whether it left the factory with hitch prep, off-road equipment or upfitter provisions.
- • The factory trim, exterior color, and interior trim recorded for that VIN.
- • Installed factory options and packages, when the underlying build data includes them.
- • Original MSRP figures, when the underlying build data includes them — not every VIN or model year has this available.
- • A downloadable, printable PDF you can keep with the vehicle’s records or share with a seller or lender.
Data density varies by model year and specific VIN — some vehicles return a full option and MSRP breakdown, others return trim and color only. We tell you which one applies before you pay. Not included: accident history, title brands (salvage, flood, lemon), odometer history, prior-owner count, service records.
Ford Super Duty options that matter most
Ford does not publish a current Super Duty order guide on its media site, so options are listed by name. Options marked “by name” appear on the build record under their option name — the code varies by model year and is shown on the build sheet for that VIN when the build data includes it.
| Option | Ford code (applies to) | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| High-Output 6.7L Power Stroke V8 | By name | Ford rates it at 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft (2023+), versus 475 hp / 1,050 lb-ft for the standard 6.7L. Same displacement on the VIN — the build record is how you tell them apart. |
| Tremor Off-Road Package | By name | Factory lift, 35-inch tires, electronic-locking rear and limited-slip front differentials and skid plates (per Ford’s 2027 description). Expensive to replicate and easy to imitate with badges. |
| FX4 Off-Road Package | By name | Ford’s lighter off-road package for 4x4 trucks — not the same thing as Tremor, though listings often blur the two. Confirm which one the record shows. |
| Fifth-wheel / gooseneck hitch prep | By name | Factory in-bed prep matters to RV and livestock-trailer buyers; aftermarket installs exist, so confirm whether it was factory. |
| Rear-axle ratio and electronic-locking rear axle | By name | Sets towing capability for the engine; the axle is listed on the build record rather than readable from the VIN. |
| Single vs dual rear wheels (SRW / DRW) | By name | Changes payload and tow ratings. vPIC can report the series (e.g. “F-Series Super Duty-Single Rear Wheels”), but not the options added around it. |
Exterior color is a separate two-character code on the door-jamb label — see the Ford paint code reference and Ford door code explained.
Ford Super Duty generations at a glance
| Generation | US model years | Build-sheet notes |
|---|---|---|
| Aluminum-body Super Duty | 2017–2022 | F-250/F-350/F-450 pickups; the 7.3L gas V8 joined the lineup for 2020, when the Tremor Off-Road Package also launched. Diesel vs gas and SRW vs DRW are the first things to confirm on a used truck. |
| Current Super Duty | 2023–present | Redesign that added the High-Output 6.7L Power Stroke (500 hp / 1,200 lb-ft per Ford). For 2027 Ford expands Tremor to every trim, including XL. |

Illustrative example, not a specific vehicle: 1FT8W2BN3SE012345 is a check-digit-valid pattern that the federal decoder reads as a 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab 4x4 (single rear wheels) with the 7.3L gas V8, built in Louisville, Kentucky. Nothing in the 17 characters lists the equipment group or packages — those live in the build record for the VIN. Decode any Ford VIN free with the Ford VIN decoder.

Ford window sticker vs build sheet
Start with the free Ford window sticker by VIN lookup: when Ford's system has the original Monroney label for that VIN, it lists the factory options and packages with their prices. When no sticker comes back, the build sheet is the replacement — This CarWhere build sheet is reconstructed from available VIN-level build data. It is not an official Ford Monroney label or factory certificate. The other routes (door-jamb label, dealer printout, FordPass) are compared in how to find Ford options by VIN.

FAQ
How do I tell if a Super Duty has the High-Output 6.7L?
Displacement alone won’t do it — both the standard and High-Output engines are 6.7L Power Stroke V8s. The window sticker or build record names the engine option. Ford rates the High-Output version at 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft (2023+).
Does the VIN show whether my F-250 has the Tremor package?
No. The VIN identifies the model, cab, drive, engine, year and plant. Packages such as Tremor, FX4 and hitch prep are recorded in the build data for that VIN, which is what the build sheet shows when the data includes them.
Is there a Super Duty window sticker by VIN?
Try the free Ford window sticker lookup first — when Ford’s system has the original sticker it lists options with prices. If none comes back for the VIN, a build sheet reconstructs the configuration from licensed VIN-level build data.
How much is a Super Duty build sheet by VIN?
Checking whether detailed build data exists for the VIN is free and happens before you pay. If it does, the report — including the build sheet — is $9.99 one-time, no subscription. If it doesn’t, you are not charged.
Is the CarWhere Super Duty build sheet an official Ford document?
No. This CarWhere build sheet is reconstructed from available VIN-level build data. It is not an official Ford Monroney label or factory certificate. When Ford’s system has the original window sticker for a VIN, the free Ford window sticker lookup returns that document instead.
