Frequently asked questions

Is the Lexus LC 500 reliable?

Its federal recall record is short: four campaigns across 2018–2024 model years, covering fuel pumps (18V107, 20V012/20V682), a brake booster pump (19V544, 2019) and the rearview camera software (24V124, 2024). Each is a free dealer repair.

What is the LC 500 fuel pump recall?

There are two. 18V107 replaced the high-pressure fuel pumps on 2018 LC 500s because a pump cover could crack and leak. 20V012 and 20V682 replace the in-tank low-pressure pump on 2018–2020 LC 500 and LC 500h because it can fail and stall the engine.

Does the LC 500h have its own recalls?

The LC 500h shares the low-pressure fuel pump recalls (20V012 for 2018–2019, 20V682 for 2018–2020) and the 2024 camera software recall 24V124 with the LC 500. For model year 2020, Lexus also extended hybrid battery coverage to 10 years/150,000 miles.

How do I check a used Lexus LC for open recalls?

Enter the 17-digit VIN in NHTSA’s recall lookup or ask a Lexus dealer. Recall repairs are free regardless of mileage or owner.
