Design and lightweight build

The Veneno uses a carbon-fiber monocoque, Lamborghini’s Forged Composite bucket seats and CarbonSkin trim across the cockpit. Lamborghini says it is 125 kg (275 lb) lighter than the Aventador it is based on, for a power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp.

The chassis uses pushrod suspension with horizontal spring and damper units. The launch release priced the car at three million euros plus tax; it gave no US price.[1][5]

What to check before buying a used Veneno

NHTSA’s open recall dataset contains no Lamborghini campaign that names the Veneno in its defect summary, so the most useful checks are factory documentation and the exact production identity. Lamborghini announced only three Veneno coupes, so confirm that the VIN and paperwork match the version the seller describes.

  • Confirm the version and VIN identity

Lamborghini announced three coupes; the Roadster is a separate model, and EPA lists them as a 2014 Aventador Veneno Coupe and a 2015 Veneno Roadster.[1][3][4]

  • Check recall status by VIN anyway

No NHTSA campaign summary names the Veneno, but the car shares the Aventador platform, so a VIN lookup confirms nothing is open.[6][1]

  • Verify the drivetrain

The Veneno uses the 7-speed ISR gearbox and permanent all-wheel drive, as stated at launch.[1]
