Can you get a car’s history from a license plate?
Partly. From a plate CarWhere identifies the vehicle and (in the report) shows its factory build, open safety-recall history, and market pricing. That is not the same as a title/accident history: title brands, odometer records, salvage, and reported accidents come from an NMVTIS-based vehicle-history report, which is a separate product. CarWhere is honest about that line rather than implying it has accident records it does not.
Does CarWhere show the vehicle owner?
No. CarWhere identifies the vehicle, not the person. It never returns owner names, addresses, phone numbers, insurance data, or registration records — that information is restricted by the federal DPPA.
