Cheapest Porsche: New and Used

The cheapest new Porsche is the Macan Electric: Porsche's US configurator showed the base model at $82,650 total MSRP on November 3, 2026. Used, the cheapest Porsches in our live-listing data are 2018 Macans at a $21,411 median and 2018 Cayennes at $21,913 — but cheap to buy is not cheap to run.

The 718 Cayman's $53,900 is its 2017 launch price; later 718 model years cost more. A new 718 or gas Macan is now only available as remaining dealer stock.

With the 718 out of production since October 2025 (per Porsche Cars North America) and the gas Macan due to end in mid-2026, the Macan Electric is the entry point to the brand for a factory order. The next step up is the Cayenne, then the Taycan and Panamera; the 911 starts well above all of them.

The study tracks 2018 and newer model years for the 911, Cayenne, Macan and Panamera. Older Porsches — 986 and 987 Boxsters, 996 911s, first-generation Cayennes — can list for less but are outside this dataset.

The SUVs depreciate fastest, which is why they dominate the cheap end. The 911 sits at the other extreme: in the same data, eight-year-old 911s still list within a few percent of today's new median, so a “cheap” 911 is usually an older, higher-mileage car or one with a story worth investigating. Mileage matters at this end of the market: 18.7% of used Cayenne listings in our Cayenne lifespan data show 100,000 miles or more.

Cheapest Porsche to own: purchase price is half the story

Repair-cost estimates from RepairPal run in the opposite order from used prices. The models that are cheapest to buy used carry the highest estimated annual repair costs.

Macan$1,265$859 (luxury compact SUVs)1.5 / 5

RepairPal estimates; they cover unscheduled repairs plus maintenance across model years and are not CarWhere data.

On these estimates the Boxster is the least expensive Porsche to keep running. Older Boxsters and 996-generation 911s are the cheapest way into a Porsche sports car, and their engines have a well-documented weak point; read the Porsche IMS bearing guide before buying one, and see Porsche maintenance cost for the full running-cost picture.

FAQ

What is the cheapest new Porsche in 2026?

The Macan Electric. When CarWhere checked Porsche's US configurator on November 3, 2026, the base 2027 Macan Electric showed a total MSRP of $82,650, before taxes, title, registration and dealer charges. The gas 718 Cayman and Boxster ended production in October 2025, and the gas Macan is ending production in mid-2026.

What is the cheapest used Porsche to buy?

In CarWhere's live-listing data (as of 2026-10-25), the lowest median asking price among the model years we track is the 2018 Porsche Macan at $21,411, followed by the 2018 Cayenne at $21,913. Older Boxsters, 911s and Cayennes can list for less, but our study covers 2018 and newer model years.

Is a cheap used Porsche cheap to own?

Not necessarily. RepairPal estimates Porsche's average annual repair cost at about $1,192, against $652 across all brands, and the cheapest models to buy used — the Macan and Cayenne — have higher estimated repair costs than the Boxster or 911. Budget for maintenance and a pre-purchase inspection.

What is the cheapest Porsche 911?

The entry 911 is the Carrera. The current 992.2 Carrera launched at a $120,100 base MSRP for the 2025 model year in Porsche's US pricing, before options and delivery. Used 911s hold their value unusually well, so they rarely appear among the cheapest used Porsches.

How do I know a cheap Porsche has the options listed?

Check the factory build record for the VIN. Cheap listings often describe options loosely; the Porsche build sheet by VIN shows the factory trim, colors and options recorded for that exact car when build data exists.
